Environmental Training of Employees
The Gazprom Group runs educational projects designed to help employees understand the importance of environmental protection, climate change, and adapting the Company’s production activities to these issues. In 2025, over 8,500 employees received environmental training.
Traditionally, such programs include environmental training for managers and teams from environmental functions, where participants master the “Ecology. 1C-Corporate Management Systems. Environmental Protection” information system and enhance their qualifications in conducting environmental assessments. Employees of PJSC Gazprom’s subsidiaries and entities also take training in environmental management in the gas industry, where they study the functioning of the EMS and evaluate its effectiveness. A webinar on climate change and low-carbon development was created and is regularly conducted for the Gazprom Group’s employees.
Additionally, distance learning opportunities are available to employees, covering various environmental topics.

In December 2025, Gazprom VNIIGAZ hosted the 9th Environmental Safety in Gas Industry international conference (ESGI-2025). The event brought together 199 leading experts from 90 companies, including representatives from government agencies, federal state budgetary institutions, as well as institutes and research centers of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Participants delivered 39 scientific presentations.
