Environmental Management System
Since 2011, PJSC Gazprom has been using a certified EMS, designed to implement the Environmental Policy, set and reach environmental targets, manage the environmental activities of PJSC Gazprom entities, meet the commitments taken on and assess risks and opportunities.

In 2025, a surveillance audit conducted by the Russian Register Certification Association reconfirmed PJSC Gazprom’s EMS compliance with the Russian national standard GOST R ISO 14001-2016 and the international standard ISO 14001:2015 Environmental management systems – Requirements with guidance for use. The auditors established that the ISPSM is maintained and developed in line with the principle of continuous improvement.
The EMS encompasses all management levels ranging from PJSC Gazprom’s Board of Directors to branches and production facilities of its subsidiaries and entities.
The Management Committee of PJSC Gazprom is responsible for the overall management of environmental protection.
PJSC Gazprom’s Coordinating Committee for Sustainable Resource Management is in charge of ensuring the efficient use of natural resources and reducing specific greenhouse gas emissions resulting from PJSC Gazprom’s operations. It is led by a senior executive who oversees the performance of PJSC Gazprom’s environmental and energy management systems.

The measures completed in 2025 enabled the achievement of PJSC Gazprom’s Corporate Environmental Targets for 2023–2025. The Company’s Comprehensive Environmental Program for 2025–2029 includes a set of measures that support national goals for innovative environmental development of the Russian economy and also aims to help PJSC Gazprom reach its Corporate Environmental Targets for 2026–2028.
Digital Transformation
As part of its Digital Transformation Strategy for 2022–2026, PJSC Gazprom maintains an Environmental Protection Information Management System (IMS). Built on Russian software, it automates environmental protection planning, record‑keeping, monitoring, and reporting. The system already has 3,500 Gazprom Group users connected.
