The Gazprom Group implements a wide range of social programs for employees seeking to improve their working conditions and enhance their quality of life. Particular attention is given to the well-being of employees’ families and children. These initiatives contribute to higher birth rates and increased life expectancy across the country.

Social Benefits
The Group entities attract top professionals and continue to strengthen their staff support systems. The Social Policy of the Gazprom Group helps boost staff motivation to work efficiently and over a long term. This policy relies on long-term programs designed to attract and retain qualified professionals with the required expertise.
Key Focus Areas of the Social Policy
Social payments are made to all Group staff, including select staff categories (employees with family responsibilities, workers who have multi-child families and children with disabilities, pensioners and members of their families).
Medical care is provided to employees, former employees (retirees) of the Gazprom Group entities, and members of their families under voluntary medical insurance (VMI) contracts and under direct contracts with healthcare institutions.
Personal insurance. In addition to compulsory social insurance, the Gazprom Group’s employees enjoy voluntary accident and health insurance coverage where insured risks are disability or death as a result of an accident or disease, as well as a newly diagnosed critical illness.
Housing support is provided to employees as a way to preserve and strengthen the Gazprom Group’s talent pool in the long term. The relevant corporate program is co-funded by employees and the employer and uses mortgage loans.

Social benefits and payments for families
- Financial assistance
- One-off financial assistance for employees upon their first marriage and the birth (adoption or guardianship) of a child;
- Monthly childcare allowance for employees on parental leave until the child turns three;
- Financial aid to employees with multichild families and children with disabilities, as well as to employees who are single parents;
- Financial assistance for children of deceased employees, including support for university education and a monthly allowance for brilliant academic performance;
- Compensation for the cost of children’s health resort stays, and reimbursement of kindergarten and extracurricular education expenses (clubs, classes, etc.).

Supporting Families and Family Values
In the reporting year, the Gazprom Workers’ Union and its member organizations held more than 700 events aimed at strengthening the institution of the family and promoting healthy lifestyles among gas workers and their families. These events drew a total attendance of over 140,000 people.
In 2024, we launched a competitive selection process for trade union members seeking to obtain intra-budgetary financing for projects focused on strengthening the institute of the family and promoting family values. As a result, 113 project applications were submitted by 33 trade union organizations of PJSC Gazprom’s subsidiaries.

Events held on occasion of the Year of the Family
The Dear Ones — Loved Ones nationwide family forum was held at VDNKh on January 19–23, 2024 as part of RUSSIA EXPO. It became the first major event of the Year of the Family, bringing together representatives of the business community, NGOs, and federal government agencies. More than 130 families from 89 Russian regions attended the forum, including the Gazprom Group’s employee dynasties — the Chichirin and Chesnokov families. They took part in the Dynasties of Russia competition, where they showcased their talents and knowledge of Russian culture and traditions. The Chichirin family won in the Family Talent Show and Jack of All Trades categories.
Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, met with the forum participants to emphasize the importance of preserving family values and supporting multi-child families.
As part of the forum, the Company’s lecture space hosted a series of events for attendees of all ages, including a lecture on the Role of Sport in Raising Children, two themed quiz games Guess in 60 Seconds prepared by PJSC Gazprom and the Gazprom Workers’ Union for the family teams from the Gazprom Group’s subsidiaries, and a wooden spoon music workshop conducted by the Chichirin family.
Pensions
PJSC Gazprom runs a corporate nongovernmental pension program for employees under agreements signed by PJSC Gazprom with Non-State Pension Fund GAZFOND. The program provides social guarantees to employees after their retirement by paying additional nongovernmental pensions to those who meet certain requirements.
This classic corporate pension arrangement covers employees who have worked at PJSC Gazprom entities for at least 15 years and have reached the pension age.
New pension arrangements may include additional parameters such as the retired employee’s position and achievements. Pension programs are implemented depending on the Gazprom Group entity’s financial position and may imply co-financing on the part of employees.
Social guarantees for PJSC Gazprom’s retirees are based on payments made by Non-State Pension Fund GAZFOND, PJSC Gazprom and its subsidiaries. Such payments are harmonized across the Group, with some of them reflecting the employment period.
In 2024, over 144,700 people received pensions under pension contracts (up 2% year-on-year due to an increase in the number of employees who reached the statutory pension age).
Corporate Healthcare System and Medical Insurance
The Gazprom Group places special emphasis on employee health and longevity. The Company’s employees, retirees and their families have access to comprehensive medical care. The Gazprom Group’s employees are eligible for preventive health examinations, including annual screenings. We also create healthy lifestyle environment.
Key objectives of the Gazprom Group’s healthcare system
- Establishing unified medical care approaches across the Group;
- Improving access to medical care and monitoring the quality of provided services;
- Promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging employees to take personal responsibility for their health;
- Introducing an emergency medical response system at production sites;
- Conducting mandatory health check-ups and medical examinations;
- Implementing disease prevention, medical screening, and employee health monitoring programs;
- Implementing medical rehabilitation and health resort treatment programs;
- Developing sanitary and epidemiological compliance initiatives and monitoring their implementation across the Gazprom Group.
The center of accountability in the Gazprom Group’s corporate healthcare management system is the Directorate of PJSC Gazprom, which develops and implements uniform medical care approaches, monitors healthcare quality, and ensures compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. All subsidiaries and entities engaged in core operations have designated centers of accountability for corporate medical services, well-defined healthcare development vision, and plans to build a modern medical care system.
In the reporting year, PJSC Gazprom adopted a set of corporate documents governing medical support and sanitary and epidemiological well-being across the Group:
- Regulation on Medical Care at PJSC Gazprom, its Subsidiaries and EntitiesApproved by PJSC Gazprom’s resolution No. 74 dated March 14, 2024.;

Efforts continued to deliver on the Comprehensive Action Plan for Medical Care Development at the Gazprom Group for 2022–2025Approved by resolution of the Management Committee of PJSC Gazprom No. 39 dated October 20, 2022. The list and scope of medical services under the VMI contract.. In 2024, PJSC Gazprom developed and rolled out a system for evaluating the effectiveness of medical care, and sanitary and epidemiological conditions at its subsidiaries and entities. This system relies on a dynamic assessment of a wide range of indicators, including the following criteria:
- lost time injury rates;
- employee satisfaction with the quality of corporate healthcare;
- number of employees covered by preventive healthcare initiatives;
- availability of medical equipment and supplies.
The reporting year saw improvements in employee satisfaction with the quality and speed of medical care. We recorded a drop in economic losses associated with lost time injuries across the Gazprom Group.
In 2024, the Group’s subsidiaries and entities introduced a new approach to medical care planning with a focus on developing Plans for Establishing a Modern Corporate Healthcare System. Furthermore, the Company joined forces with Gazprom Corporate Institute’s occupational healthcare department to roll out a new healthcare staff training format reflecting today’s best practices in medical education and the specific needs of the oil and gas industry. The Gazprom Group also developed standard job descriptions and a model competency profile for the management and professionals of medical services at its subsidiaries and entities.
Collaboration with Insurance Companies and Medical Institutions
PJSC Gazprom signs VMI contracts with insurance companies, which arrange and pay for medical services and preventive measures at designated medical organizations, or, if not possible, at third-party healthcare institutions included in the VMIScope of healthcare services provided to the insured person under VMI program . The scope of relevant medical services is defined in voluntary medical insurance programs. Insured employees, retirees, and members of their families receive outpatient and inpatient care, as well as health resort and rehabilitation treatment under medical indications. VMI programs may also cover antenatal care and obstetric services in line with the national trend to protect maternity and childhood, while also providing for specific arrangements to prevent flu and other infectious diseases.
In 2024, the Company developed and approved the Procedure for Auditing Third-Party Medical Institutions for Compliance with the Standards of PJSC Gazprom, and prepared prequalification documents for the category of Medical Services.
The reduction in rehabilitation treatment expenditures in 2024 resulted from the optimization of medical care approaches under VMI contracts.
In 2024, expenditure on preparing and holding healthcare events for employees and their families rose by 4.2%, including a 4.5% increase per employee. This growth was driven by the introduction of innovative approaches to employee health management, repair and outfitting of medical infrastructure facilities, and the commissioning and finishing of healthcare infrastructure facilities at the Kovyktinskoye gas condensate field.
In the reporting year, PJSC Gazprom’s partner insurance company screened rehabilitation and resort treatment facilities for compliance with the established criteria, and assessed the quality of medical services provided to employees under VMI contracts. The screening results were submitted to PJSC Gazprom.
Healthcare infrastructure expenditure, RUB billion
Healthcare infrastructure expenditure in the reporting year increased by 46.4% compared to 2023. This growth was linked to the renovation of medical equipment, construction of permanent facilities, and procurement of modular and mobile medical clinics for remote production sites.
As part of their employment contracts, employees of the Gazprom Group entities benefit from dedicated staff health programs.
Social Partnership
PJSC Gazprom recognizes the right of employees to the freedom of association and collective bargaining as provided by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, and Federal Law No. 10-FZ On Trade Unions, their Rights and Guarantees of their Activities dated January 12, 1996.
The interests of the Group’s employees are represented by the Gazprom Workers’ Union Interregional Organization and its member organizations. The Gazprom Workers’ Union is one of Russia’s largest industrial trade unions.
In 2024, the increase in the Gazprom Workers’ Union membership was 2.4% year-on-year.
The Gazprom Workers’ Union actively engages with employees across the Gazprom Group and promptly responds to their claims. In 2024, most employee inquiries contained requests for clarifications of applicable labor laws, provisions of the general collective bargaining agreement, and state and local regulations, including the Regulation on Remuneration and Social Guarantees for Retirees. Employees also raised issues concerning employment, housing and pension relations, as well as social and economic interests of trade union members.
In 2024, there were no records of conflicts between employees and employers in the Gazprom Group’s and entities that resulted in strikes, disruptions of operations, or collective labor disputes, including no conflicts related to violations of human rights regarding freedom of association or the right to conclude collective bargaining agreements.

Corporate Culture and Communications
Effective communication and a unified information space play a crucial role in promoting and strengthening the corporate identity. They help foster team cohesion, reinforce shared values, and create a common cultural and informational environment.
Digital Foundations of Corporate Identity
The Gazprom ID Unified Interaction Platform (GID UIP) has become a key tool for building and reinforcing corporate identity among the Company’s employees, as it brought them together into a shared informational and valuebased environment. Available as both a super app and a web version, the GID UIP enables daily interactions among thousands of employees, fostering their loyalty, involvement, and a strong sense of belonging.
In 2024, the GID UIP published over 50,000 news pieces that garnered more than 4 million views. In addition to that, the platform launched five special projects that received significant attention and emotional engagement from the workforce.
The GID UIP promotes horizontal communication, enabling employees to share experiences, ideas, and professional achievements with colleagues.
Participation in platform-based surveys allows employees to express their views and be heard, encouraging their involvement in corporate discourse and strengthening their connection with the Company. In 2024, the GID UIP hosted over 1,000 surveys, collecting more than 1 million responses from 130,000 users.
The Sputnik educational platform plays an essential role in shaping a unified corporate culture and shared approaches to work. In 2024, more than 140,000 employees from 340 entities accessed training programs via Sputnik.
Sports at the Gazprom Group
PJSC Gazprom places a special emphasis on corporate sports, and encourages its employees to exercise more. Corporate sports are promoted as part of the Gazprom Group’s social policy.
Since 2023, we have been running the Corporate Sports Development Program of PJSC Gazprom, its subsidiaries and entitiesApproved by order of PJSC Gazprom No. 310 dated August 21, 2023. (the “Program”), which aims to build an effective corporate sports management system and to hold various sports events for the Gazprom Group’s employees.
The Program’s goals
- Promoting physical activity, mass sports and healthy lifestyle as part of corporate culture, developing a regular habit for physical exercise and sports among employees, as well as motivation for leading a healthy lifestyle;
- Creating an environment for physical exercise and sports, organizing and holding physical training and sports events;
- Establishing an efficient corporate sports management system, including for managing corporate sports facilities.
Sports events held on occasion of the Year of the Family
PJSC Gazprom actively participates in major national sports events to promote and preserve Russia’s traditional family values.
Russia’s Ski Track is the largest nationwide ski race that has been open to both amateurs and professionals since 1982. Skiing unites hundreds of thousands of people of all ages and occupations. Each year, the Gazprom Group staff and their families take part in the race, with approximately 5,000 employees from 28 subsidiaries joining the event in 2024.
Nation’s Cross Country Race is the largest mass sporting event in Russia by the number of participants and geographical outreach. It has been held since 2004. Open to all age groups and fitness levels, the competition offered participants distances from 1 to 12 km. In 2024, some 4,000 amateur runners from the Gazprom Group entities took part in the regional events across the country.
An updated set of GTO fitness tests was revived in 2014 to serve as an organizational and regulatory framework for the country’s efforts to promote physical training. The Gazprom Group began implementing it in 2017, with more than 76,500 employees having taken the tests since then. In 2024, some 13,000 employees joined the initiative. 4,000 of them received gold distinction badges, 2,500 — silver, and 2,500 — bronze.
As part of the Corporate Sports Development Program, in 2024 the Company launched Sports Leaders of PJSC Gazprom, a project seeking to promote a healthy lifestyle. Sports Leaders of PJSC Gazprom are employees who achieved outstanding results in corporate nationwide competitions under the GTO program. Their achievements reinforce healthy living values, inspire colleagues, and help advance corporate sports initiatives.
The Gazprom Group entities actively encourage their employees to engage in regular physical activities and sports. Occupational physical training sessions are held throughout the working day, with the Company regularly organizing weekend gatherings, corporate fitness and sports festivals, hiking trips, and mass fitness and sports activities, including in disciplines enlisted in the Gazprom Spartakiada Games.
Ice Hockey Cup of the Gazprom Workers’ Union
In 2024, Ufa hosted the Second Ice Hockey Cup of the Gazprom Workers’ Union organized jointly with Transgaz Ufa. The tournament attracted 12 teams from subsidiaries of PJSC Gazprom. The Gazprom Workers’ Union Cup was awarded to the team of Gazprom Pererabotka.
Gazprom Spartakiada Games
The Group’s largest sports event is the Gazprom Spartakiada Games. They have been held since 1996 in the regions where the Gazprom Group’s subsidiaries and entities operate. The Games take place once every two years alternated between the summer and winter sports. Each event is divided into two stages: first, we hold competitions between standalone structural units of the Gazprom Group’s subsidiaries and entities, then, the final competitions take place between the subsidiaries and entities themselves.
In 2024, the Gazprom Spartakiada Games were held in Yekaterinburg. In addition to the employees from 32 Gazprom Groupentities, students from 14 partner universities of PJSC Gazprom joined the event. They competed in gorodki (a traditional Russian game), fox hunting (amateur radio direction finding), a multi-stage relay race, and intellectual games. The 2024 Games set a new participation record, with 165 sets of gold, silver, and bronze medals awarded to athletes. For the first time in the history of the Spartakiada Games, subsidiary teams competed in two leagues based on the results of previous tournaments.
