Digital Transformation Strategy
The implementation of digital technologies is an important tool for enhancing the efficiency of corporate governance and achieving strategic goals of the Gazprom Group. The Group’s efforts to address its complex challenges serve as a driving force for the development of various sectors, including the radio electronics industry and the broader IT landscape.
The Gazprom Group’s digitalization endeavors are guided by the Digital Transformation Strategy of PJSC Gazprom (Gazprom Group)Approved by resolution of the Board of Directors of PJSC Gazprom No. 4065 dated April 3, 2024. (the “Strategy”), which enables enhanced operational efficiency and new business development through technological integration, as well as streamlined management of the transformation process and implementation of digital projectsThe digital transformation initiatives of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz and Gazprom Energoholding as the Group’s subholding companies have been incorporated into the Digital Transformation Strategy of PJSC Gazprom (Gazprom Group) since 2022. PJSC Gazprom Neft is in the process of drafting its own Digital Transformation Strategy.

Artificial Intelligence at the Gazprom Group
The Gazprom Group’s intelligent systems leverage a broad spectrum of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including intelligent decision support, computer vision, natural language processing, and speech recognition and synthesis. Digital solutions combining classical analytical models and AI methods are now employed for various tasks. Many digital twins incorporate a hybrid approach, blending physical equations and AI algorithms to model and optimize asset or process performance in diverse conditions and operational modes, serving the asset throughout its lifecycle.
The Gazprom Group has immense potential to test and implement AI technologies, positioning it to become a leader among global energy companies in the ongoing advancement and effective application of intelligent technologies.
Tax Function Digitalization
To interact with tax authorities involved in the Gazprom Group’s tax monitoring, the Group uses Data Mart, a unified solution based on a domestic IT platform.
The Gazprom Group takes part in the Federal Tax Service’s pilot project seeking to integrate the IT systems of companies subject to tax monitoring with its Nalog 3 automated information system. In 2023, new versions of scenarios for information exchange with tax regulators were tested, with these efforts set to continue in 2024.
IT and Information Security Risks Management
The Gazprom Group manages information security and information technology risks through the following measures:
- transitioning to the predominant use of domestic software and replacing foreign computer hardware with local counterparts;
- complying with information security requirements set out in the federal legislation of the Russian Federation, including decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation, orders of federal executive authorities responsible for security and technical protection of confidential information, and local regulations of PJSC Gazprom.
